The 4th General Assembly Meeting within the EPISTOP project took place on November 25-26, 2017 in Vienna, Austria. The meeting was moderated by prof. Martha Feucht (Medizinische Universitaet Wien) and attended by all partners. As always during the meeting the progress and issues of each work package were presented. Partners discussed further project's implementation and dissemination. Also first results of the statistical analysis were shown, which gave the opportunity to plan the future high level analysis.

The objectives of this impact publication on EPISTOP are:

- to gather much needed knowledge and insight into epilepsy so as to remove the veil of mystery which surrounds the disease and understand those most at risk

- to develop a means to diagnose the disease before seizures strike, thus reducing the risk of long-term damage to the brain

- to improve the drug treatments available to patients with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC)
